Pots for the terrace

Product description

Large square Corten metal flowerpot 60×60 cm

This large, square Corten steel metal planter, measuring 60 cm on a side, is a cube with a powerful, sculptural presence. These large square planters accommodate larger plants and create a striking focal point in any garden, patio, or courtyard.

Design, form and finish

The structure is formed by smooth, even Corten panels with sharp, welded edges. The surface is patinated with characteristic vertical streaks—as in the photo, where the scale of the planter is emphasized by the silhouette of the person standing next to it. This form consciously dominates the space, becoming its natural center.

Where large square flowerpots will work best

A large square metal planter works well as a solitary planter in a courtyard, at an entrance, or on a terrace, where it sets a strong accent. Placed individually, it creates a sense of scale; in a pair, it creates a representative frame for a gate or door. Large square planters also work well in commercial spaces—offices, hotels, and restaurants.

What plants to plant

It works well for yuccas, dracaenas, larger grasses and shrubs, as well as smaller trees—the photo shows a striking composition with yucca and blue fescue. The large capacity allows for combining the main plant with shorter, groundcover species. This is a planter for plantings that are intended to build height and structure.

Dimensions and capacity

The 60 x 60 cm side and 60 cm height provide a very large cubic capacity and rooting depth. The large square pot stabilizes the soil moisture, so plants require less frequent watering. Once planted, it is heavy and very stable – it's best to place it in its final location before filling.

Corten steel, 2 mm sheet metal and care

The body is made of 2 mm Corten sheet, hand-welded in Poland, with drainage holes. The steel is frost-resistant, year-round, and maintenance-free—the patina protects it from further corrosion. As the patina develops, runoff water can stain light-colored surfaces, so washers are helpful to start with.

Frequently asked questions

Will a larger plant or tree fit in a 60×60 pot?

Yes. A large 60 cm cube will accommodate yuccas, dracaenas, larger grasses, and smaller trees. Remember to include drainage and room for the root ball.

How much can a pot weigh after being planted?

Once filled with soil and planted, the pot is heavy and very stable - it is best to place it in its final location before filling it.

Is it suitable for commercial spaces?

Yes. Durable 2mm sheet metal and weather resistance are ideal for entrances, outdoor lobbies, and food courts.

How is it different from the smaller 50×50 cube?

Larger scale and capacity – large square pots 60×60 better showcase impressive plants and organize the space more effectively.

Can the pot be moved after planting?

It is very heavy when full; if necessary, use a transport trolley or empty some of the substrate.
