A massive, cylindrical cylinder with a diameter of 100 cm—pictured here with a molded olive tree—is the focal point of a modern courtyard. This is a large, round, solitaire-class planter that comfortably accommodates a tree or a stately shrub.
The seamlessly rolled Corten steel wall develops a deep rusty hue over time, providing a warm counterpoint to the concrete, wood and glass.

This large, 100 cm diameter round Corten steel planter is a solitaire-class container designed for trees and impressive plants. The 100 cm round planter is large enough to accommodate the root ball of an olive tree, Japanese maple, or clipped boxwood, and its soft round shape balances the sharp lines of modern architecture. It's the natural center of gravity of the arrangement—it draws the eye and organizes the space around it.
The casing of this round planter is smoothly rolled from a sheet of Corten steel, without visible welds around the perimeter, giving the cylinder a uniform appearance despite its large scale. The patina is evenly distributed—from cool gray, through orange, to the warm rusty brown shown in the photo. The round shape accentuates the tree's shape rather than competing with it, and looks good from every angle.
As a planter for a Ø100 tree, it's perfect for representative spaces: entrances, driveways, courtyards, or patios. Individually, it creates a sense of scale, and in pairs, it creates a symmetrical frame for a door or gate. A large round patio planter also works well in commercial spaces—hotels, restaurants, and offices.
The most effective options are a shaped olive tree (as in the photo), an olive grove, a Japanese maple, larger ornamental grasses, or a conifer shaped into a cone. Around the trunk, you can plant low groundcovers, sedums, or herbs like rosemary and lavender, which will utilize the large surface area and soften the edge.
A diameter of 100 cm and a height of approximately 85 cm provide a very large cubic capacity, stable root conditions, and less frequent watering. This large round pot will accommodate a tree, along with a drainage layer and a supply of soil for years of growth. The solid cylindrical shape is heavy and resistant to tipping, which is important for tall, umbrella-shaped crowns.
The planter is made of 2mm Corten steel with a welded bottom and drainage holes, handcrafted in Poland. Corten steel is frost-resistant and maintenance-free, and the natural rust acts as a protective coating—no painting or impregnation required. During the first few weeks of patination, water dripping from the coating may temporarily stain the light-colored surface, so pads are helpful to start with.
Yes. The 100 cm diameter and generous depth will accommodate an olive tree, Japanese maple, or large shrub—with room for a root ball and drainage layer.
This is the XXL model (Ø100). Once planted, it's very heavy and stable, so it's best to fill it at your destination.
Yes. Durable 2mm sheet metal and weather resistance make it suitable for hotels, restaurants, and office entrances.
The olive tree is sensitive to heavy frost - in harsh winters in Poland it is worth protecting it with agrotextile or moving it to a cool, bright place; the pot itself is frost-resistant.
During the patina development period, runoff water may temporarily stain light-colored surfaces; once the patina stabilizes, this disappears. Primers are helpful for starting.
